V-Series Blackwing · Limited Availability
668 supercharged horsepower, a six-speed manual as standard equipment, and no substitute anywhere in the segment.

The 2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing starts from $98,900, excluding destination, and it is the one car in this family that asks you to work for it. A 6.2L supercharged V8 makes 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox is the standard transmission, not a nostalgia option. Cadillac describes availability as limited. If you want the fast Cadillac that also drives itself down the highway, you want the CT5-V. This one has other priorities.
This is the Blackwing page at Covert Cadillac Bee Cave. It covers what the Blackwing adds over the CT5-V, its own engine and gearbox, its chassis hardware, its price and packages, and who should actually buy one. Shared cabin, dimensions and safety content lives once on the shared spokes, and this page links there rather than repeating it. The CT5 and CT5-V buyers guide is the front door.
The Differential
The CT5-V runs a twin-turbocharged V6 through a 10-speed automatic, with Brembo front brakes and Magnetic Ride Control. The Blackwing replaces the engine with the supercharged V8, makes a six-speed manual the standard gearbox, adds Brembo performance rear brakes to the fronts, offers a carbon ceramic brake system, makes Custom Launch Control with Line Lock standard, makes the Enhanced Performance Data Recorder standard rather than optional, and grows the AKG system to sixteen speakers. It also gives something up: Super Cruise is standard on the CT5-V and offered as an available upgrade here.
Powertrain
A 6.2L supercharged V8, rated at 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque on premium gasoline. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual. A 10-speed automatic is available, and the choice is not just about how you like to drive: Cadillac bundles Super Cruise with the automatic. Take the manual and you take a car with no hands-free mode, which is a coherent thing to want and worth deciding on purpose rather than discovering it two hours up the road to Waco.
Drivetrain availability, weights and fuel economy for this car are not published where we can verify them to our standard, so you will not find them invented here. Ask us and we will read them on a specific car on our lot. The three engines in the family are compared on the engines and performance page.

Hardware
Brembo performance brakes front and rear are standard on the Blackwing. A carbon ceramic brake system with cross-drilled rotors is available. Magnetic Ride Control is standard, as is Custom Launch Control with Line Lock. The standard wheel is a nineteen-inch forged aluminum piece in a Polished Dark Android finish. An Enhanced Performance Data Recorder is standard equipment, which tells you what Cadillac expects owners to do with the car.
Available on the Blackwing, the Precision Package brings the carbon ceramic brakes with cross-drilled rotors, revised steering knuckles, revised mounts, revised suspension links and tuning, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. This is the configuration for someone with a Circuit of the Americas membership rather than a commute. The Deep Ocean package is also offered, and Cadillac calls it extremely limited.
Price
| Model | Starting MSRP | Engine | Standard Transmission |
|---|---|---|---|
| CT5-V Blackwing | From $98,900 | 6.2L supercharged V8, 668 hp | 6-speed manual |
MSRP excludes destination freight charge, tax, title, license, dealer fees, and optional equipment. Dealer sets final price.
Packages include Precision and Deep Ocean. Because Cadillac describes availability as limited, what is orderable and what is already allocated change week to week — current Blackwing inventory is the honest answer, and a trade appraisal tells you what the step up really costs.

Placement
It sits at the top, and there is nothing above it. Below: the CT5-V, a twin-turbo V6 with an automatic and standard hands-free driving. Below that: the 2026 Cadillac CT5 in Premium Luxury and Sport, a four-cylinder luxury sedan. The trims compared page lays it out end to end.
We sell all three and have no preference about which one leaves the lot, so the CT5 vs CT5-V vs Blackwing comparison is written neutral. Cabin technology and the driver-assistance suite are covered once on the technology and safety page; measurements live on specs and dimensions.
The Decision
Wants a manual gearbox in a modern luxury sedan → CT5-V Blackwing, six-speed manual. There is no substitute for this in the segment, and no hands-free mode either.
Wants the V8 but drives long highway miles → Blackwing with the 10-speed automatic, which is how you get Super Cruise.
Has a track membership and a helmet → Blackwing with the Precision Package. Carbon ceramics, revised suspension, Cup 2 R tires. Cup 2 Rs are a poor choice for a wet morning near Pedernales Falls.
Wants speed that still commutes → the CT5-V saves roughly forty thousand dollars and keeps Super Cruise standard.
Wants the look and the badge → the CT5 Sport shares the body for a fraction of the money.

Buy Local
We are at 16501 Sweetwater Village Dr, Building 2. Sales answers at (512) 900-7062. A Blackwing is an easy hour from Circuit of the Americas and a good deal less from the two-lanes above Pedernales Falls, which is where owners will actually use it. Long, hot summers punish a supercharged engine and a set of track tires harder than a spec sheet suggests, so ask about heat-soak behavior and tire choice before you order. Buyers come from Killeen and Waco for a car this scarce; schedule a test drive and we will tell you honestly what is allocated and what is not.
Questions
One. Cadillac lists a single CT5-V Blackwing model, not a ladder of trims. What varies is the gearbox and the option packages you add to it.
A 6.2L supercharged V8 producing 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque on premium gasoline.
Yes. A six-speed manual is the standard transmission. A 10-speed automatic is available.
No. Super Cruise is available on the Blackwing and Cadillac bundles it with the 10-speed automatic, so choosing the manual means choosing to go without it. On the CT5-V and on both CT5 trims, Super Cruise is standard.
It starts from $98,900. That figure excludes destination freight charge, tax, title, license, dealer fees, and optional equipment, and the dealer sets the final price.
