Covert Cadillac Bee Cave · Austin, Texas
A 33-inch display, 19-speaker AKG audio, and hands-free Super Cruise — all standard on every trim, including the least expensive one.

The 2027 Cadillac OPTIQ runs a single 33-inch Horizon Display at 9K resolution on Google built-in, with a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system and hands-free Super Cruise. Here is the scope fact most shoppers get wrong: all three are standard on every trim, including the $50,900 Luxury. There is no technology package to add and no screen upgrade to pay for. The one thing that genuinely is not offered is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which do not appear on the OPTIQ in the United States at any trim or price.
Covert Cadillac Bee Cave sells the OPTIQ in Austin. This page covers the cabin technology, how Super Cruise actually works and where, the full standard driver-assistance list, what is available on top, and where to read crash-test ratings. On ratings, stated up front rather than buried: neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has published a rating for any model year of the Cadillac OPTIQ — both bodies were checked directly, and where to read them is in the ratings table below.
The Cabin
The dashboard is one continuous 33-inch Horizon Display at 9K resolution, carrying instrumentation and infotainment across a single panel in the driver’s sightline. It is standard on all five trims.
It runs Google built-in, which means live traffic, podcasts and apps are native to the car rather than mirrored from your phone. It works without a phone connection and apps install to the vehicle itself. For most drivers this is a better daily experience than projection; for a driver deeply invested in an iPhone workflow it is a genuine adjustment, and it’s worth testing for yourself on a drive before you decide.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered on the OPTIQ in the United States, on any trim, as a factory option or a dealer-added one. If phone projection decides your purchase, decide it in the car before you order.
Audio is a 19-speaker AKG Studio system, standard on every trim, with Dolby Atmos available. Finding a nineteen-speaker system on the entry car of a lineup is unusual, and it is the feature most likely to sell the OPTIQ to someone who came in for the range figure.

Hands-Free
Super Cruise is standard on all five OPTIQ trims and arrives with a three-year OnStar One plan included — an included plan, not a thirty-day trial. Continued use after those three years requires a paid plan.
What it does, precisely: on mapped compatible roads, Super Cruise takes over steering, acceleration and braking while you take your hands off the wheel. It is hands-free and eyes-on — a driver-facing camera confirms you are still watching the road, and the system hands control back if you are not. Those four clauses travel together. It is not self-driving, it does not work everywhere, and it is not a substitute for paying attention.
Where it earns its place around Austin is the long, dull middle of a highway run — the I-35 corridor south, the SH 130 toll bypass east of the city, the stretch out toward San Antonio. Those are exactly the miles where attention drifts, and a system that holds the lane and the gap while you stay watchful is doing its most useful work there rather than on a twisting Hill Country road, where you would not engage it anyway.

Included
The OPTIQ’s driver-assistance content is standard model-wide rather than sold in packages, which is unusual at this entry price. Every item below is standard on all five trims.
| System | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking | Brakes automatically when a front collision is imminent |
| Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking | Extends that braking to turns across traffic at intersections |
| Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking | Detects people and cyclists ahead and can brake for them |
| Side Bicyclist Alert | Warns of a cyclist alongside before you open a door or move over |
| Forward Collision Alert | Warns before a front impact so you can react first |
| Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning | Warns and steers gently back if you drift out of lane |
| Blind Zone Steering Assist | Resists a lane change into an occupied blind zone |
| Adaptive Cruise Control | Holds a set gap to the vehicle ahead rather than a fixed speed |
| Rear Cross Traffic Braking | Brakes for traffic crossing behind you as you reverse out |
| Reverse Automatic Braking | Brakes for an obstacle directly behind the vehicle |
| Rear Pedestrian Alert | Warns of people behind the vehicle while reversing |
| HD Surround Vision | Composite overhead view for tight parking |
| Front and Rear Park Assist | Proximity warnings at both ends |
| Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist | Steers the vehicle into a parallel or perpendicular space |
| IntelliBeam | Switches between high and low beams automatically |
| Rear Camera Mirror with camera washer | Camera feed in place of the mirror, with a washer for the lens |
| Safety Alert Seat | Directional seat vibration instead of, or alongside, a chime |
| Driver Attention Assist | Monitors driver attentiveness and prompts a break |
| Teen Driver | Speed and volume limits plus a report card for a new driver |
| Hitch Guidance with Hitch View | Guides the hitch to a trailer coupler. Standard on the four non-V trims; not offered on the OPTIQ-V, which carries no tow rating |
Driver-assistance systems are aids, not replacements for attentive driving. Read the Owner’s Manual for the conditions and limitations of each system.
Optional
Because the driver-assistance suite is standard model-wide, there is very little left to option. What moves between trims is comfort and lighting rather than safety hardware:
The Head-Up Display arrives with the Premium step — standard on Premium Luxury, Premium Sport and the OPTIQ-V, and not available on the Luxury or Sport at any price. Choreographed LED head and tail lamps with front cornering lamps and automatic headlamp levelling follow the same pattern. Dolby Atmos is available on the AKG audio system. On the OPTIQ-V, a charging and convenience package brings the 19.2 kW onboard charger and summer-only tires — and costs 28 miles of rated range, which the range and charging guide explains.
Lane Change Alert is a separate system from Blind Zone Steering Assist and its trim availability is not published for 2027, so it is not claimed here either way. Ask us to check the build sheet on a specific vehicle if it matters to you.

Ratings
Two organizations rate vehicle crashworthiness in the United States, and they test different things. Neither has published a rating for any model year of the Cadillac OPTIQ. Both were checked directly at the source in July 2026; the table below is where to look and what each one measures, so you can check again yourself when ratings appear.
| Organization | What it tests | OPTIQ status, checked July 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| National Highway Traffic Safety Administration | Government programme. Frontal, side and rollover tests, reported as a star rating out of five, plus an overall score | Not rated. Read at nhtsa.gov |
| Insurance Institute for Highway Safety | Industry-funded. Crashworthiness, front crash prevention, headlights and seat anchors, reported as Good, Acceptable, Marginal or Poor, plus annual awards | Not rated. Read at iihs.org |
Ratings change as the organizations retest and as their test protocols are updated. Check both sites for the current position before you rely on any figure, including one printed here.
Choosing
| If this is you | Take this one |
|---|---|
| You want the screen, the audio system and hands-free driving for the least money | OPTIQ Luxury — all three are standard at $50,900 |
| You want a Head-Up Display | Premium Luxury or Premium Sport — the entry point, and it cannot be added below |
| You do a lot of long highway miles | Any trim — Super Cruise and its three-year plan are standard across the board |
| Phone projection is non-negotiable for you | Drive one first. CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered on any OPTIQ in the United States, and Google built-in is a genuine adjustment for some drivers. |
| You want the best audio the car can do | Any trim with Dolby Atmos specified — the 19 speakers are already there |
Local
Long, hot summers and highway-dominant commuting are the two conditions that decide which of these features you actually use here. Cabin pre-conditioning from the app matters daily from May to October; Super Cruise matters on the long interstate stretches rather than on the roads through West Lake Hills and Rollingwood, where you would be driving it yourself anyway. The Google navigation is worth testing on a real errand — a run up to The Domain and back tells you more than any spec line.
The showroom is at 16501 Sweetwater Village Drive, Building 2, in Austin. The infotainment question is the one to settle in the car rather than on a page, so book a drive and spend ten minutes with the system before you decide. Answers
Neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has published a crash rating for any model year of the Cadillac OPTIQ, so there is no rating to report in either direction. What can be stated is the equipment: 19 driver-assistance systems are standard on every trim, including automatic emergency braking at intersections, pedestrian and bicyclist braking, blind-zone steering assist and rear cross-traffic braking. Check nhtsa.gov and iihs.org for ratings when they are published.
No. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered on the OPTIQ in the United States, on any trim, as a factory or dealer-added option. The vehicle uses Google built-in instead, which runs live traffic, podcasts and apps natively on the 33-inch display without a phone connection.
Yes, on all five trims including the $50,900 Luxury, and it comes with a three-year OnStar One plan included rather than a short trial. Continued use after those three years requires a paid plan.
On mapped compatible roads it controls steering, acceleration and braking while you take your hands off the wheel. It is hands-free but eyes-on: a driver-facing camera confirms you are watching the road and hands control back if you are not. It is not self-driving and it does not operate everywhere.
A single 33-inch Horizon Display at 9K resolution, running across the dashboard in the driver’s sightline and carrying both instrumentation and infotainment. It is standard on all five trims.
Premium Luxury, Premium Sport and the OPTIQ-V, where it is standard. It is not available on the Luxury or Sport trims at any price, so the Premium step is the entry point if you want one.
All of them, on every trim: enhanced and intersection automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, side bicyclist alert, forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, blind zone steering assist, adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic braking, reverse automatic braking, rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, front and rear park assist, enhanced automatic parking assist, IntelliBeam, rear camera mirror, safety alert seat, driver attention assist and Teen Driver. Hitch Guidance with Hitch View is standard on the four non-V trims.
It carries the same standard driver-assistance suite as every other trim, with one exception: Hitch Guidance with Hitch View is not offered on the OPTIQ-V, because the V-Series carries no tow rating.
Google built-in instead of phone projection is the one thing on this page you cannot judge from reading. Ten minutes with it settles the question either way.

Super Cruise is a hands-free driver assistance feature for use on compatible roads and requires an active OnStar plan. It does not make the vehicle self-driving; always pay attention to the road and be ready to take over. All driver-assistance systems are aids and do not replace attentive driving; read the Owner’s Manual for the conditions and limitations of each. Crash-test ratings are published by the organizations named above and change over time; check their sites for the current position.
