Covert Cadillac Bee Cave · Austin, Texas
519 horsepower, 3.5 seconds to sixty, adaptive dampers and six-piston Brembo front brakes — from $67,500.

The 2027 Cadillac OPTIQ-V makes 519 horsepower and 650 lb-ft in Velocity Max and reaches sixty in 3.5 seconds with Launch Control. What a buyer gains over the Premium Sport below it is not a badge and a wheel package: it is a second motor, a lowered and adaptively damped chassis, six-piston fixed Brembo front calipers, and 21-inch wheels on the hardware that can use them. It starts at $67,500 before a $1,795 destination charge.
Covert Cadillac Bee Cave sells the OPTIQ-V in Austin. This page covers what the V adds, its own powertrain and chassis hardware, its pricing and packages, and where it sits against the rest of the line. The specifications the V shares with every other OPTIQ — cabin technology, the driver-assistance suite, dimensions, maintenance — live on the specs and technology and safety pages rather than being repeated here.
The Differential
Stated as hardware rather than adjectives, the V adds: a second drive motor and 519 horsepower in place of 315; Continuous Damping Control adaptive dampers; a lowered suspension; six-piston fixed Brembo front brake calipers; 21-inch reverse-rim wheels in Satin Graphite with a laser-etched V badge; V-Mode with a configurable Competitive Mode; and Launch Control. Outside, a distinct lower fascia and rocker treatment, and a black painted roof that is standard here and optional below.
Inside, the V takes V-Series signature front seats, a Performance steering wheel, genuine carbon-fibre interior decor as standard, Santorini Blue accents and illuminated V-Series door sills. It also carries the ventilated and massaging front seats and heated rear outboard seats that the standard car reserves for its Premium trims, so nothing is traded away in comfort to buy the pace.

Powertrain
Two electric drive motors, one per axle, produce 519 horsepower and 650 lb-ft in Velocity Max, driving through a single-speed direct drive — there’s no combustion engine. All-wheel drive is standard and exclusive — unlike the four trims below it, the V is not offered in rear-wheel drive at any price.
Velocity Max is a mode you select rather than a permanent state, and it sits alongside V-Mode — a steering-wheel button that recalls your own saved combination of powertrain, steering and damper settings — and a Competitive Mode that widens the traction envelope for closed-course use. Launch Control produces the 3.5-second figure.
Range is where the V asks something back. It is rated at 278 miles as delivered. Specify the available 19.2 kW charging module — which arrives inside a charging and convenience package alongside summer-only self-sealing tires — and that becomes 250 miles. This tradeoff is specific to the V’s optional charging package — on the standard OPTIQ, both charger choices certify to the same range. The range and charging guide works through why.
| OPTIQ-V configuration | Range | MPGe |
|---|---|---|
| Standard 11.5 kW charging | 278 miles | 103 city / 81 hwy / 92 combined |
| Available 19.2 kW charging package | 250 miles | 92 city / 74 hwy / 83 combined |
Range and MPGe figures shown are the 2026 EPA certification, published at fueleconomy.gov; the V-Series powertrain and battery carry over unchanged for 2027. Launch Control and Competitive Mode are intended for closed-course use. Your range varies with speed, temperature, terrain and load.
Hardware
Continuous Damping Control is standard and is the single biggest change in how the car behaves. It reads the road continuously and varies damping force at each corner, which is what lets one chassis be both compliant on a broken surface and flat through a fast direction change. Paired with the lowered suspension, it’s what makes the V feel transformed rather than simply quicker — the handling changes as much as the acceleration does.
Brembo six-piston fixed front calipers are standard. A fixed caliper with six pistons spreads clamping force more evenly across a larger pad than a sliding caliper can, which mostly shows up as consistency — the fifth hard stop feeling like the first. Coloured V-logo calipers in blue or red are a factory option.
Wheels and tires: 21-inch reverse-rim wheels in Satin Graphite with a laser-etched V badge are standard, with a polished Dark Android finish available. The V ships on all-season self-sealing tires as standard; the summer-only self-sealing tires arrive only inside the charging and convenience package, which is the other half of the range trade described above. In a market with real summer heat and occasional flash flooding, that tire choice is worth a conversation before you order rather than after.

The V rose $200 for 2027 and is otherwise a carryover. Worth saying plainly: the charging and convenience package is the one option on this car that changes a published figure, and for most drivers the 28 miles are worth more day to day than the faster home refill. Take it only if your home circuit and your schedule genuinely need it.
Placement
The standard 2027 OPTIQ runs four trims from $50,900 and is the volume car, with the longest range in the family and a tow rating the V does not have. The trim comparison separates its four trims properly. For a direct read of the V against the car below it, the OPTIQ vs OPTIQ-V comparison puts both side by side.
One size up, the Cadillac LYRIQ is the longer, roomier mid-size electric SUV with more towing capability. Two things the V does not carry over from the standard car are worth stating here rather than burying: the V has no tow rating at all, where the standard OPTIQ is rated at 1,500 pounds properly equipped, and Hitch Guidance with Hitch View is not offered on it. Cargo is unchanged from the rest of the line at 26 cubic feet behind the second row and 57 with the seats folded.
Choosing
| If this is you | Take this one |
|---|---|
| You want the quickest Cadillac SUV that still parks in a normal garage, and 278 miles is plenty | OPTIQ-V as it comes — $67,500 |
| You drive a genuinely twisting commute and care more about damping than lap times | OPTIQ-V — the adaptive dampers, not the 519 hp, are the reason |
| You need to tow, even occasionally | Standard OPTIQ with all-wheel drive — 440 hp, 1,500 lb |
| You want the V look and the comfort seats but not the price | OPTIQ Premium Sport — the dark path, $53,700 |
| Range is the number that decides it for you | OPTIQ Luxury, rear-wheel drive — 317 miles, $50,900 |

Local
This is a good part of the country for a car built around damping. Loop 360 and Bee Cave Road do not run straight for long, the climbs through Barton Creek load a chassis properly, and the roads out past Spicewood and around Lakeway change surface every few miles, and Driveway Austin runs sessions close enough to make Competitive Mode a real thing you use rather than a menu item. Long, hot summers also make cabin pre-conditioning on shore power a feature you reach for daily: cool the car on the wall and the battery keeps its miles.
You will find us at 16501 Sweetwater Village Drive, Building 2, in Austin. Answers
The 2027 OPTIQ-V starts at $67,500 before a $1,795 destination charge, with all-wheel drive included. It rose $200 from the previous model year. There is no lower-priced V-Series version.
It makes 519 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque in Velocity Max and reaches sixty miles per hour in 3.5 seconds using Launch Control. Launch Control and Competitive Mode are intended for closed-course use.
278 miles with the standard 11.5 kW charging module, or 250 miles when the available 19.2 kW charging package is fitted, since that package also brings summer-only tires. Both are the 2026 EPA certification, which applies because the V-Series powertrain and battery carry over unchanged for 2027.
No. All-wheel drive is standard and exclusive on the OPTIQ-V; there is no rear-wheel-drive version at any price. The four standard OPTIQ trims are rear-wheel drive as standard with all-wheel drive available for $3,500.
No. Towing is not available on the OPTIQ-V, and Hitch Guidance with Hitch View is not offered on it either. A standard 2027 OPTIQ is rated to tow 1,500 pounds when properly equipped, and the larger Cadillac LYRIQ is rated at 3,500 pounds.
Brembo six-piston fixed front calipers are standard. Coloured V-logo calipers in blue or red are a $595 factory option that changes the finish only; the caliper hardware is the same either way.
It is the OPTIQ-V’s standard adaptive damping system. It varies damping force at each corner continuously as the road changes, which is what allows one chassis to stay compliant over broken pavement and flat through fast direction changes. It is standard on the V-Series and not offered on the four standard OPTIQ trims.
Only if your home circuit supports 19.2 kW charging and your schedule genuinely needs the faster refill, because the package also fits summer-only tires and drops rated range from 278 to 250 miles. For most drivers the 28 miles are worth more than the home-charging speed.
A 3.5-second figure means very little until you have felt it. Ten minutes on Loop 360 tells you whether this is your car.

Launch Control and Competitive Mode are intended for closed-course use only. Obey all speed laws. Super Cruise is a hands-free driver assistance feature for use on compatible roads and requires an active OnStar plan. It does not make the vehicle self-driving; always pay attention to the road and be ready to take over. Read the Owner’s Manual for important feature limitations. Range and MPGe figures are for comparison only; your results vary.
